James “Uncle Gadget” Bujcs, Jr., 89, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Whitehall Manor. Jimmy was born March 19, 1928 in Bethlehem, son of the late James Vincent Bujcs, Sr. and the late Krizstina (Zrinski) Bujcs.
Jimmy worked as a repairman for UGI for 34 years prior to his retirement. In his early years, Jimmy was on a bowling league and coached a local roller hockey team. With a passion for music, he learned to play the drums and formed a band with his brother John, who played the accordion. For years they played at weddings, parties, picnics and for enjoyment. He could often be found having fun with friends in the quoit and pool leagues at the 540 Democratic Club; where Jimmy was a life member. With a kind and generous nature, many will remember Jimmy because he was always handing out gifts such as pens, flashlights and other handy gadgets. He was an avid golfer; not only playing golf but winning tournaments until the age of 88. Jimmy also enjoyed working on projects around the house and tending to his vegetable garden.
Jimmy is survived by his brother, John Bujcs as well as his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Irma Lux and Goldie Egner and his brother, Stephen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home and services will be held in the spring.
