James F. Mchugh

James F. McHugh, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday April 5, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown, Pa. He was born on February 21, 1926 in Scranton, Pa. son of the late Owen and Mary Kane McHugh. He was the husband of Alva Kutz McHugh. They celebrated 45 years of marriage this past July 1st.

Jim was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He was in sales for Allentown Beverage and prior to that a sales manager for Horlacher's Beverage. He was a veteran of the US Marines serving in the South Pacific during WW II. Jim was also an entertainer and vocalist who performed at various venues in the Lehigh Valley, Pocono's and Florida. Jim was a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His zest for life and his ability to tell a story and make people laugh will surely be missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alva, daughter, Donna Tessitore wife of Carmen of Orefield, grandson, Matthew James Tessitore, brother, Paul McHugh and wife Noreen of Throop, Pa., sister, Peggy Jankouskas of Scranton, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother Eugene McHugh and wife Mary of Moosic, Pa.

A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Friday April 9, 2010 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Calling hours from 9:30-11AM at the funeral home. Burial Woodlawn Cemetery
