James K. Mcconnell

James K. McConnell, III, 66, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at his home. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Laura (Hays) McConnell and the late James K. McConnell, Jr. He was the devoted husband of 36 years to the late Patricia A. (Greening) McConnell. Jim was a graduate of Preble High School in Green Bay, where he met and married his high school sweetheart. He was the owner of Winfield Trucking Co. Jim was a member of the Lehigh Valley Traffic Club and assisted his children in the American Cancer Society Relay. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dogs, his fish pond and camping. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates but he was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, owning several memorabilia items and was a team stockholder.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Laura McConnell of Mt. Pocono; his son, James K. McConnell, IV and Sandy Mynar of Whitehall, PA; daughters, Kelly Marie McConnell and Kim McConnell both of Bethlehem, PA; his grandchildren, Max, Kaity, and Blair as well as his siblings, Kathleen Graham of Connecticut; Doug McConnell of Monroeville, PA; Donna Sanford of Connecticut; Irene Fennell of Mount Pocono, PA; and William McConnell of Macungie, PA.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 7-9 pm and again on Tuesday from 10-11 am immediately followed by a service at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
