James M. Beers

James M. Beers, 94, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. He was born in Easton, son of the late Edward and Anna (Young) Beers. He was the loving husband of the late Anna A. Beers.

James was a proud veteran of the Army having served in WWII with the 10th Armored Division. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Hellertown Legion and the Catholic War Veterans Post 454. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, James F. and Stephen F.; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jacob, Edward, Frank and Elmer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where a viewing will be held on Saturday December 1st from 10 to 11 a.m. An 11 a.m. service will follow, in the funeral home. Burial will military honors will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice Association or a charity of one's choice.
