James P. Scorzafava,

September 3, 1937 — January 11, 2018

James P. Scorzafava, Sr., 80 of Northampton formerly of Hellertown, PA died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born September 3, 1937 in Childs, PA he was the son of Mary (Lee) and Frank Scorzafava. He was married to Loretta (OBoyle) Scorzafava for 37 years until her passing on November 2, 1997.

James worked for General Electric and retired from North American Specialty Glass. James loved being outside, he would hunt, fish and in particular loved tending to his garden and would share the fruits of his labor especially his tomatoes and his homemade tomato sauce. He was an avid Phillies fan and occasionally would root for the Yankees. He loved his family and would always be there for them whenever he could.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, James P Scorzafava, Jr. and wife Carla and Kevin Scorzafava and wife Donna, daughter, Susan wife of Alan Mills and five grandchildren, Julia, Lydia, Edward, Ryan and Nathan.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:30-11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church 1408 Easton Rd., Hellertown, PA 18055 at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Hellertown.

Memorial contributions may be made in James name to Sacred Heart Senior Living 602 E. 21st, Northampton, PA 18067.
