James T. Parham, Sr., 74, of Bethlehem passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Born on July 11, 1949, the son of the late Percy Parker and Helen Parham. He was the loving husband of the late Phyllis Cronin-Parham.
James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, earning a few Purple Hearts for his bravery and service as a Recon Marine while in Vietnam. He spent his career as the first African-American Union Ironworker out of Local 36. He was an avid fisherman and loved being with his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son, James T. Parham, Jr. (Heather); sister, Debbie Parham and 5 grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Parham.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at Nisky Hill Cemetery.
