James W. Lamb, 87, of Bethlehem died on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in his home. He was the husband of the late Mary T. Santanasto Lamb. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Foster and Sadie Lamb.
James retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Co. in 1984 as a Foreman in the Tool Steel Division after many years of dedicated service. He was a WW II US Navy Veteran , former Commander of American Legion Post 0406, former President and board member of the Washington Republican Club and a lifetime member of the Heights AA and the Tammany Democratic Club.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Gary Lamb and his wife Frances of Convent Station NJ, daughters Barbara Holva and her husband Michael and Carol Lamb-Egelston and her husband James of Kent, WA. Also surviving is a brother Harry Lamb of Bethlehem, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a brother Leo and sisters Margaret and Jean.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the Connell Funeral Home at 11:00am. A calling hour will precede the service. Burial with full Military Services will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bethlehem.
