Jane F Hess

Jane F. Hess, 80 of Bethlehem Township died Friday night at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill.

Jane was the wife of the late Earl B. Hess who died in 1998.

Born in Weatherly, PA she is the daughter of the late John and Julie Fadden.

Jane was a graduate of St. Gabriel's High School in Hazelton, PA and a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Wilkes Barre.

She was employed for many years at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem as a registered nurse primarily on North Wing 8. She had also worked as a private duty nurse and at Country Meadows in Bethlehem Township for several years retiring in 2002.

Jane and her husband were charter members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township. She was very active serving as a Eucharistic Minister, singing in the adult choir, serving with the Health Ministry of the church and a member of the Ladies Group.

A very caring person, she was a dedicated wife and mother and always put others first and never thought of herself.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters: Patricia, wife of David Kays with whom she resided, and Deborah Springer of Trexlertown, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tanya, Joshua and Brianna, her sister Bernadine Sposato of Weatherly, her nieces; Diana, Mary, Gina and Olivia and her nephews: John, Angelo, Jim, Ryan and Michael in addition to her sister's in law Ruth and Mary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 3229 Santee Road Bethlehem. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
