Janet S. Petrokubi

Janet S. Petrokubi, 100, of Venice, FL, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Bethlehem, PA. Born in South Bend, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Aagot (Michelet) Hoglund. She was wife of the late Jack Petrokubi and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Shoemaker.

Janet was an avid golfer who played the game into her 90s. She had a chance to model clothes later in life and was an avid supporter of SPARC, a battered womans shelter in Venice, FL.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, James and wife Jane, Robert and wife Martha, and William; daughter, Joanne Shoemaker; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three sisters.

Services: A memorial service was held in Bethlehem at an earlier date.
