Janice A. "Jan" Sarisky, 67, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, October 4, 2009 surrounded by her family at her residence.
She was born in Hazleton, PA; the daughter of the late Calvin and Agnes Riffon Kapes.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph R. Sarisky.
She worked as a shipping clerk for 23 years at Home-Sew of Bethlehem.
Jan volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Family Manor and was an active parishioner of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph; children, JoAnn Bolden of Bethlehem; Joseph R. Sarisky, Jr. of Bethlehem and Jolene Davey of Connecticut; as well as her granddaughter Alexa Sarisky and her nieces and nephews.
Jan enjoyed crocheting, cooking, making candy, traveling and especially loved spending time with her family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem and again on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 8-9:30 AM at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 10 AM at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018.
Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
