Janice M. Kametz

Janice M. Kametz, 62, of New Tripoli, PA formerly of Bethlehem and Allentown, died on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest & I-78 in Allentown, PA. She was born in Bethlehem and was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances McGoldrick Kametz.

Janice graduated from the Mercy Day School in Allentown in 1967. She worked at the Kurtz Training Center now VIA of the Lehigh Valley for 44 years in Bethlehem. Janice was an avid bowler, dancer and loved to take day trips. She was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Janice will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Jean Yanik of Allentown and Nancy Ihle of Bethlehem Township, sister-in-law Mary Ann Kametz of Bethlehem, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, caregivers Linda Merkel and Carol Royer and caregivers of Impact Systems.

Janice is predeceased by her parents and a brother John Kametz.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Ss. Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 10:00 AM. Burial following Mass at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
