Jean A. Hurlburt

Jean A. Hurlburt, 78, of Hellertown, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Ridgewood, NY, the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Schaefer) Berding. She was the loving wife of the late Bruce Hurlburt. They were married nearly 53 years before his passing in 2010.

Jean volunteered much of her time to St. Benedicts Homeless Shelter in Holmdel, NJ.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp.

Jeans love and passion in life was her 11 children, 24 grand children and spending time with her family.

Jean will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karen, wife of Duncan Bell of Bethlehem; Donna, wife of Jay Davis of Marlton, NJ; Bruce Hurlburt of Hellertown; Mark Hurlburt and wife, Sheri, of Jackson, NJ; John Hurlburt and wife, Sharon, of Hellertown;

Kathy, wife of Jeff Gluck of Freehold, NJ; Paul Hurlburt and Olena Shumska of Lady Lake, FL; Jeanne, wife of John Veres of South River, NJ; Jennifer, wife of Robert Hoffman of Nazareth; and Andrew Hurlburt and wife Leiann of Oxford, FL; and her 24 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Hurlburt and her brother, Richard Berding.

Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
