Jean Mae Hintze, 100, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp. She was the wife of the late Jerome J. "Jerry" Hintze, Sr. who died May 8, 2002. Jean was born August 4, 1924 to the late Clarence John and Ruth (Vaughn) Tischler. Jean was a graduate of Hughestown High School and Pittson Hospital School of Nursing. She lived a life characterized by compassion and dedication, particularly in her profession as a registered nurse, serving the community at Hess's and Sears department stores. Jean was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp. Her family will forever cherish the memories of her classy demeanor, well-dressed presence, and the warmth she brought to their lives.
Survivors: children: Jerome J., Jr. (Sharon) Hintze of Bethlehem, Shawn J. Hintze of Bethlehem, James K., Sr. (Sandra) Hintze of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Keri Belisaire, Carissa Hintze, Courtney Hintze, James K. Hintze, Jr., Kaci Hintze; 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother: Allen Tischler.
Services: A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem. The entombment will conclude at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.connellfuneral.com.
