Jean Yanik, 91, of Allentown, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at her home. She was born in Bethlehem on March 9, 1930; the daughter of the late Michael and Frances (McGoldrick) Kametz. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Stanley W. Yanik.
Jean will be dearly missed by her son, Edward M. Yanik; as well as her nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Ihle, and Janice Kametz; and her brother, John Kametz.
Jean was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended Cedar Crest College and Lehigh County Community College.
She had a tremendous work ethic; serving as officer manager for J.B. Van Sciver Co. for 15 years, and regional manager for Sarah Coventry for 15 years.
She volunteered for over 43 years at Lehigh Valley Hospital; including 10 years on the auxiliary board. Jean was past president of the American Business Women Bethlehem Chapter. She was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
In her free time, Jean enjoyed playing tennis, yoga, reading, and traveling.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home and will be private.
