Jeanette R Herasimchuk

October 15, 1919 — May 4, 2010

Jeanette "Jean" R. Herasimchuk, 90 of Bethlehem died Tuesday morning at her home. She and her husband Michael V. celebrated their 59th anniversary in October.

Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Adam P. and Mary Repsher Rheiner.

Jean was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church in Bethlehem.

She enjoyed needlepoint as a hobby and displayed one of her needlepoints of the state birds of the 13 original colonies at the U. S. Post Office in Bethlehem. Jean was also fond of outdoor flowers and televised sports expecially golf and Yankee baseball.

After graduating from Liberty High School in 1937 she worked as a sales clerk for Vanity Fair in Bethlehem. She then was a model for B. Altman Department Store in New York City for three years. In 1947 she became the first female receptionist for Bethlehem Steel Co. working in the "New" reception room in the Main Office Building on Third St. in Bethlehem for 7 years.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Mike, her sons: Peter M. Herasimchuk of East Allentown, Pa., and Jon M. H. Harrison and his wife Heather of Emmaus, Pa., and their children Jon M. and Jennifer G. Harrison, her brother A. Paul Rheiner of Rancho Cucomongo, CA and his son Retired Major Thomas M. Rheiner of CA, and her cousin Dr. MaryLynn Repsher of Jacksonville, Fla.

A visitation will be held on Friday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa.

A Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday May 8th at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 West Broad Street Bethlehem

Interment will be private.
