Jeffrey J. Fondl

Jeffrey J. Fondl, 55, of Bethlehem died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of Rudolph & Lorraine McFadden Fondl.

Jeffrey was a graduate of Notre Dame Elementary School, Bethlehem Catholic High School class of 1971 and received his degree in business from St. Vincent's College in Latrobe, PA. While at St. Vincent's he played ice hockey and continued playing in leagues in the Lehigh Valley well into his 30's. Jeff was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers. He also loved his trips to Massachusetts to ski, snowmobile and go boating and fishing with his brother Mark.

He was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. Jeffrey worked as a manager at Target on Cedar Crest Blvd.

Jeffrey will be sadly missed by his parents Rudolph and Lorraine of Bethlehem, his brother Mark and his wife Suzanne of Haverhill, MA and their children Eric and Alexis, wife of Daniel Kanan, his sister Karen Benway of Bethlehem and her children Ryan and Jill, his sister Christine Serman of Bethlehem and her children Jared, Dana and Nicole and his brother Gary and his wife Cathy of Frisco, CO and their children Sophia and Evan. He is predeceased by a brother Brian in 1997.

Funeral services begin with prayers at 9:15am on Thursday, 9/24/09 in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Visitation hours will be from 7:00pm - 9:00pm Wednesday and 8:15am - 9:15am Thursday in the funeral home.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour cemetery.
