Jennie T. Makos, 104, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born on July 23, 1918, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Czipath) Bolecz.

Following her formal schooling, Jennie entered the workforce, including Western Electric and Bell Labs as a technician for over twenty years, until her retirement. She came out of retirement to work part-time for Piece Goods for many years.

Outside of work, Jennie enjoyed cooking, bakingshe was well known for her kiffles and nut rollsewing, and crocheting. Above all, though, she was a devoted and giving mother and grandmother who sincerely loved taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Joseph C. Makos, who passed away on March 23, 1987; an infant son: David Makos; her daughter: Lorraine Goddu; and her brother: Stephen Bolecz.

Jennie will be lovingly remembered by her son: Robert D. Makos and his wife, Linda; sister: Mary C. Bolecz; six grandchildren: Suzanne Ross, wife of Ken, Pamela Palistrant, wife of Perry, Gregory Goddu, husband of Liz, Lindsay Galusha, wife of Brian, Kathryn Langer, wife of Brandon, and Jillian Hancock, wife of Jeff; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Emily, Alec, and Hannah Ross; Joseph, Jake, and Joshua Palistrant; John Goddu; Jack and Sam Maza; Nate, Ellie, and Collin Galusha; Graham and Jude Langer; and Maeve Hancock.

A viewing will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 10:00am until the time of the service, in the funeral home, at 11:00am.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Jennies name, to Sacred Heart Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020 or St. Lukes Hospice, 240 Union Station Plaza, 1st Floor, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
