Jennie V. Cimino

March 13, 1922 — April 30, 2016

Jennie V. (Frabotta) Cimino, born March 13, 1922 in Roseta, Pa to Samuel and Maria (Strizzi) Frabotta and was married to Dominic F. Cimino for 49 years; all deceased.

As a young woman, Jennie worked at the Just Born candy factory. She contributed to the WWII effort by working at Bethlehem Steel. After getting married she worked at a number of sewing mills in Bethlehem and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a member of the Our Lady of Pompeii Church and its Mother of Sorrows Sodality, St. Bernards Home of the Good Samaritan, Holy Ghost Seniors and Member of Sacred Heart Church and its Prime Time Club for Seniors. Sewing and crocheting, playing Uno or 500 Rummy were hobbies and “Grand Central Station” as her home was jokingly referred to as the place for many family clambakes and picnics. She was also a volunteer poll worker for elections for many years.

Survivors: Son, Anthony and wife Susan of Hampton, NJ and daughters, JoAnn and husband Ronald Mitch of Freemansburg, PA and Cecilia and husband Robert Kerr of Easton, PA. Grandchildren, Cassandra, Ronald, Corinne, Carl, Kerry, Alison, Victoria, Robert Jr. and Emerson. Great-Grandchildren, Connor, Morgan, Ryan, Holden, Evan and Ethan. Brother, Frank of Lawton, OK. Two sisters, Esther and Philomena and a brother Alfred previously deceased.

Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-9 p.m. and again on Friday, May 6th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lukes Hospice 240 Union Station Plaza, 1st Floor, Bethlehem, PA 18015 and/or American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Pl., Bethlehem, PA 18017.
