Jimmy Dorsey

Jimmy Dorsey, 58, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was the son of the late Nellie (Green) and Charlie Dorsey.

After graduating from Liberty High School, Jimmy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Music was a passion of Jimmys and he loved to DJ parties and special events. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. His family was most important to him and he loved being a father and grandfather.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Adriane Rodriguez and Yolanda Jiminez; son, Jimmy Green; brothers, Raymond Green (Bernice), Charles Dorsey, Tommy Dorsey (Maria) and Timothy Dorsey; sisters, Elouise Coe, Lilah McKellar (Silbert) and Penelope Moore (Terrance); 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his daughter, Chanelle Allen and brothers, Alfonso Smith and Willie Lee Green.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, C/O Connell Funeral Home.
