Joan L. Tipton

Joan L. Tipton, 83, of Walnutport passed away on Thursday June 7, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA. She was born in Manhattan Beach, CA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Viola (Gardner) Landaker. She was the wife of the late Dr. Charles Leon Tipton.

Joan loved being with and taking care of her family. To many family members and friends, she was lovingly known as “Nanny.”

She will be loving remembered by her son, Anthony A. Tipton (Sherri), daughter, Cherie Martucci, (Nicholas M. Martucci Jr.), brother, Edward Landaker, grandchildren, Christopher Tipton (Becki), Danielle Pellegrini (Joey), Nicole Zaino (Anthony), Patricia Saunders (Adam), and Christina Fenon (Shaun), great grandchildren, Kamryn, Mackenzie, Maddox, and Owen, her dog, Precious, and her cats, Sugar, and CeCe. Joan was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Costa.

A viewing will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
