Joan M. Tanzosh

Joan M. Tanzosh, 72, of Hanover Twp., died Monday, June 16, 2008 at her residence. She was born September 29, 1935 in Northampton, the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Chaputa Fedorak. She was the loving wife of Paul J. Tanzosh; they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this past September 12th.

Joan worked for the Northampton County Courthouse for over 20 years as the

Deputy Prothonotary Officer.

She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Bethlehem and previously a member of St. John's Greek Catholic Church in Northampton.

She was a member of The Serra Club of Bethlehem, The Notre Dame 55 Plus Club, an associate member of Society of St. Vincent de Paul; she also volunteered her time to Meals on Wheels and was heavily involved with the Lions Club of Hanover Twp.

Joan was very devoted to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her husband,

Paul J., daughters, Mary Louise Tanzosh of Atlanta, GA; Christine, wife of Peter Tiano of Hatboro, PA; and her two grandsons, Christopher P. & Peter Jordan Tiano.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Evancho and Margarite Nagy

and a brother, Stephen Fedorak.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Visitation will be held, Friday, June 20, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, from 9-9:30 a.m. both in the funeral home. Burial will be at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, in Northampton.
