Joan R. Slivko, 91, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Slivko who died in 1969. Joan was born in Bethlehem on July 21,1932 to the late Joseph and Katherine (Repash) Reybitz. She graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1950. Joan was previously employed as a secretary for the former Bethlehem Steel, St. Luke's Hospital and the Moravian Development Corporation until retiring at age 86. She was a longtime member of Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Joan is survived by her children: Joseph J. (Shelly) Slivko of Bethlehem, Joanne Skrobak of Bethlehem, Jane (George) Ament of Swarthmore; brother: Joseph (Sandi) Reybitz of Englewood, FL; grandchildren: Matthew Slivko, Marc Slivko, Samantha FaRannte, Nicholas Skrobak, Julia Skrobak, Joseph Ament, Katy Ament; great grandchildren: Anthony FaRannte, Rocco FaRannte and Arthur Ament. Predeceased by siblings: Theodore Reybitz and Kathleen Reybitz.
Service: Family and friends are invited to her visitation 10:30-11:30 am Friday, April 19, 2024 at Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 730 West Broad Street, Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am.The services will conclude at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
