Joan Stetz, 86, of Bethlehem has fallen asleep in the hope of Resurrection unto life eternal. Born July 12, 1937 to the late Michael and Mary Stetz in Buck Run, PA.
Joan was a 1955 graduate of Cass Township High School. She went on to earn degrees at the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, Wilkes University and Reading Hospital School of Anesthesia. During her career as a nurse anesthetist, she worked at the Reading Hospital and for 38 years at the Easton Hospital's Easton Anesthesia Associates. She was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church of Bethlehem where she was a longtime pierogi worker.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Mary Strohecker.
She is survived by her twin sister Jean Kusior (Bernard) Kenhorst PA, sister, Patricia Stetz Grammes (Thomas) Bethlehem with whom she resided; nieces, Beverly Bisazza, Lori Westlund, Tracy Strohecker and nephews Philip and Craig Strohecker.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 9-11 a.m. at St Nicholas Orthodox Church 980 Bridle Path Road, Bethlehem, Pa with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Church. Interment will follow at St Peter and Paul Orthodox Church Cemetery, Llewellyn ,PA
