Joan Y. Marshall

Joan Y. Marshall, 83, of Bethlehem Township, died October 23, at home. She was the loving wife of the late John P. Marshall. Born in Wilson, she was a daughter of the late Gillespie and Mary (Steirer) West.

Joan worked for Jim Jams making clothing for many years while taking care of her family. She spent much of her time taking care of her yard and decorating her home. Joan adored her daughter and her grandchildren and loved to spend time with her parents and siblings. She was the first person at the local yard sales, enjoyed selling items at flea markets and bargaining down the vendors. She will be missed greatly by those who knew her.

Joan is survived by her daughter: Vickie Perry and her husband, Dennis of Bethlehem; brothers: Alan West and his wife, Pat of Bethlehem; and Joseph “Bud” West of Florida; sister: Sharon Boswell and her husband, Bill of Georgia; grandchildren: Angela Depallo and her husband, Dan of Barto; and Chad Perry of Bethlehem. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Horveath and brother, Gillespie West, Jr.

There will be a graveside service on November 1, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Memorial Park, 1851 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
