Joann A. Bednar

Joann A. Bednar, 81, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, February 05, 2015 at St. Lukes Hospital. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Sarah (Kealey) and Warren H. Bicking, Sr. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Bednar, Sr. She worked as a billing clerk, beginning with Lehigh Valley Railroad and retiring with Conrail. She was an avid bowler and a world traveler.

Joann will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Bonnie Taglang and Donna Bednar; son, Donald Jr.; brother, Donald Bicking; and 6 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Warren and William; and sister, Eleanor.

A memorial service will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Saturday Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a breast cancer charity of ones choice.
