Joann M. Silfies

Joann M. Silfies, 96, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Bethlehem. Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Sommers) Berzkovits.

Joann was the loving wife of the late Charles S. Silfies with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. Charles was the love of Joanne's life and now after 46 years apart, Joann will finally be reunited with her one true love.

Joann was a life-long member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem Township. She was a retired seamstress from Nicki Lynn Sportswear. Joann loved baking Christmas cookies, crocheting, reading romance novels and caring for her cat.

Joann is survived by sons: Dennis Silfies of Texas; Timothy Silfies of Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Joann was preceded in death by her sisters: Mary and Anna Berzkovits; her sons: John C. Silfies and Ronald Silfies; and daughter: Brenda Roland.

A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad Street. Bethlehem with a blessing at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Peters Catholic Church Cemetery.
