Joanne Hunter Sillivan

Joanne Hunter Sillivan, 84, of Hanover Township, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Moravian Village Nursing Center, 634 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA.

She and her husband, Donald R. Sillivan, celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary last August.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dorothy M. (Frey) Hunter.

She attended Wilson College and Katherine Gibbs School and graduated from Moravian College. Before she retired to raise a family she worked as a secretary at Bethlehem Steel.

She was president of the Bethlehem Garden Club and active in the Miniature Society. Joann was a member of Christ Church UCC Bethlehem

Surviving with her husband are a daughter Susan Kuehl and her husband Wayne of Delaware and son Jeffrey Little of Phoenixville, PA, step daughter Rita Smith and her husband James, step son Donald R. Sillivan, Jr. and his wife Susan, grandchildren Michele Silebi and Seamus Sillivan and great grandchildren Cassandra, Amanda and Melissa Silebi and Declan Sillivan, a sister Susan Braido and her husband Aldo of Bethlehem .

Visitation on Wednesday, March 6 from 4:30pm - 7:00pm at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. A second visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Christ Church UCC , Center and Market Streets followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am in the church.

Burial will follow the services at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown.
