Joanne N. Bufton

Joanne N. Bufton, 88, of Bethlehem passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Born on February 15, 1934 in Pen Argyl, she was the daughter of the late Muriel (Tyreman) and Arthur Gall. She was the loving wife of the late James F. Bufton.

Joanne was a devoted and loving mother to her four sons. She graduated from Liberty High School Class of 1952. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem and a former member of the Catasauqua Junior Women's League. Since she was a little girl, Joanne was an avid Notre Dame fan.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, James Bufton and his wife, Donna, Michael Bufton, Douglas Bufton and his wife, Pam, and Scott Bufton; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Joanne was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Tyson and brother, Bobby Gall.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center St. Bethlehem, PA 18017. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. in the Church. Burial will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
