Joao Tavares Silva

Joao Tavares Silva, 89, of Bath, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Alexandria Manor of Bath. He was the loving husband of the late Ana Rosa T. Silva with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Murtosa, Portugal, he was a son of the late Joao and Gloria Silva.

Joao is survived by his brothers: Henrique Tavares of Union, NJ; and Joaquin Tavares of NJ; sisters: Ana Rebelo of MA; Maria Jose Batista of MA; and Maria of Portugal; and many loving nieces, nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws. Joao was preceded in death by his wife, Ana Rosa Silva; his parents, Joao and Gloria Silva; his brother Manuel Tavares; and his daughter, Maria Albertina Rebelo.

There will be a viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Church, 312 E 4th St, Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
