Joel T. Dantinne, 61, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 16, 1961, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Julian P. and Mary (Kimble) Dantinne. Joel was a good man, loyal friend, proud father, and devoted life partner. He will be eternally missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia (O'Connell) Dantinne, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.
Joel was raised in Forks Township and attended Easton High School. He was mechanically inclined and could build or repair almost anything. He took pride in the home he shared with his wife, which he had painstakingly remodeled from top to bottom. In earlier years, Joel owned a small contracting/roofing business, and more recently worked as a HVAC installer at various Lehigh Valley companies, including Fritch, Fogel's Fuel, Lessig, and Northampton Oil, before retiring in 2018. Throughout his life, Joel enjoyed the outdoors -- camping, scuba diving, and motorcycle riding when he was able. He was a fan of NASCAR, the Iron Pigs, and western movies, as well as a life-long supporter of the Miami Dolphins. He loved to travel and was up for any adventure. Joel belonged to several social clubs in the area including the North End Wanderers, B.V.F. Home Association, and North End Republican Club, where his outgoing personality and sense of humor cultivated many friendships among those he met.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Joel is survived by daughters Allison Dantinne, Jacqueline Dantinne, Jessica (Mark) Fowler, and grandson Jameson Fowler. He also leaves behind siblings Robert (Susan) Dantinne, Richard Dantinne, JoAnn Bailey, Susan (Tom) Patterson, Mary Ellen Mazzie, Jean (Gerald) Plyler, and Lori Ann (Charles) Mandigo. He was preceded in death by brother Julian C. and sister Linda Dantinne.
"...if the dead can come back to this earth and flit unseen around those they loved, I shall always be near you; in the gladdest days and darkest nights wait for me, for we shall meet again..." Sullivan Ballou 1861
