Johanna M. Kocsis

Johanna M. (Mondschein) Kocsis, 78, of Bethlehem; died Friday, October 12, 2012 in her home, surrounded by her three sons. Born April 11, 1934 in Bath, PA; she was the daughter of the late Alois and Hattie (Karner) Mondschein. She was married to Alex J. Kocsis with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing on December 7, 2010.

Johanna worked for the Bethlehem Steel in the billing department and later also worked for AD Computer. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem. She enjoyed going to the casino with her friend Yvonne Sigley.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jeff and his wife, Michele, of Bethlehem; Gary and his wife, Diane, of Lower Saucon Twp.; and Craig and his wife, Anne, of Camp Hill, PA. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Alexander, Jeffrey, Christie, John, Jenna, Matthew, Alaina, Diana and Katie.

Johanna was preceded in death by her brothers, Alois, Augustus and Edward Mondschein.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m.in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem.

In support of her grandson Matt Kocsis who was born with hydrocephalus memorial contributions may be made payable to: Matthew T. Kocsis Health and Education Trust, 825 Briarwood Lane, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
