John A. Ford

John A. Ford, 87, of Bethlehem, PA died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. Born November 26, 1924 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Rose (Csapek) and Mark A. Ford. He was married to the late Margaret E. (Moyer) Ford.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Post office as a Mail Carrier retiring after 32 years of service. John was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Northeast Wanders A.A., Heights A.A., Jefferson Democratic, Bath American Legion Post 470 and the D.A.V. Chapter 5.

John is survived by his sons, Mark and wife, Melanie and Jack and wife, Dana; brother, Richard; grandchildren, Shannon, Brendan, Ryan, Tiernan and Chelsea; great grandchildren, Ariel and Connor. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Mark and Thomas; and sister, Rose Stumer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where visitation will be held on Tuesday June 19th from 8:30 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held, in the funeral home, on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorials may be made to the St. Anne's Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
