John A. "Jack" Makos

March 25, 1961 — September 16, 2017

John A. “Jack” Makos, 56, of Bath, PA, passed away from a rare illness on September 16, 2017, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born March 25, 1961, in Allentown, the son of the late John R. Makos and Marjorie Trautman. Jack was the loving husband to Nancy C. (Nemchik) Makos for the past 31 years.

He was employed by Interstate Brands Corporation for 26 years and Rubin Industrial Company Work division and Sun Industrial Supply Company just prior to his illness. Jack loved being surrounded by family and friends. He also enjoyed ocean cruises and Broadway Shows. He was a member of the Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, the Northwest Jersey Hog Club and enjoyed participating in motorcycle fund raising events. Jack also enjoyed skiing, hiking and mountain biking.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; his four sisters, Debbie Force of Florida; Cyndi Resh of Effort PA; Jeannie Makos and Linda Kerchner of Bethlehem; along with his three nieces and four nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 12 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 10-12 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
