John A. Tersigni

John Alvin Tersigni, 76, passed away on June 8, 2015, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. John A. Tersigni was born on June 24, 1938. He grew up in Alpha, New Jersey. John was the son of the late Lawrence “Mack” and Carmella “Emily” (Ganguzza) Tersigni, Sr.

“Ho-John” Tersigni graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1956. John was a first team New Jersey All State, all group selection, in both football and baseball. He was elected team captain in both sports. John Tersigni was inducted into the Easton-Phillipsburg Football Hall of Fame in 2012. He was also an avid golfer and lifelong sports fanatic.

In 1962, he started his career as a local entrepreneur. He owned and operated Well-Done Construction Company in Phillipsburg, N.J, Well-Done Car Wash in Easton, Pa, the Oakhurst Restaurant in Harmony, N.J, Merchant Plaza, in Tannersville, Pa, and numerous properties and homes throughout the greater Lehigh Valley region.

Survivors: John will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 44 years Mary Jo Tersigni; a brother Lawrence Tersigni, Jr. of Wildwood, N.J; his children John and his wife Martha Tersigni of Bloomsbury, N.J., Terry and his wife Michele Tersigni of Lauderhill, Fl., Todd Tersigni of Phillipsburg, N.J., Jason Tersigni of Allentown, Pa., and Danielle (Tersigni) Stevens and her husband James of Jenkintown, PA; twelve grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and his many friends and acquaintances.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Friday June 12, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, Pa.18018. A calling hour will be held from 10-11am at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Catholic Church.
