John A. Werner

John A. Werner, 52, of Bethlehem died Saturday April 4, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg Campus. He was born December 20, 1956 in Fountain Hill son of the late Robert Werner and Shirley Romig Werner of Bethlehem. He was the husband of Beth Vanderpool Werner. They celebrated 10 years of marriage this past November.

John worked in the water department for the City of Bethlehem for 30 years. He served in the US Army, 118th Airborne Class E-5 as a paratrooper from 1975-1978. John was a member of the Jefferson Democratic Club. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1975 where he was an avid wrestler. He also loved to ride his motorcycle, shoot pool and cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers., He was devoted to his family and always had a smile on his face.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Beth, brothers, Robert F. Werner Jr. and wife Brenda, Twin brother James Werner and wife Laurie, and William L. Werner all of Bethlehem, sisters, Carol Raub wife of the late Harry Raub , and Susan J. Fink wife of Russell both of Bethlehem, several nieces and nephews, and family friend Jake Shestak of Pittsburgh.

He was predeceased by a brother Barry J. Werner
