John C. DeCeia, 64, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, March 13 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the loving husband of JoAnn (Schaffer) DeCeia with whom he shared 33 years of happy marriage. Born in Bethlehem he was a son of the late Romoaldo J. P. DeCeia and Isaura (Ferreira) DeCeia.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughters: Jessica Cocco (Bob) of Audubon and KariAnn Heckman of Allentown; grandchildren: Miles and Everly Cocco.
Johns personality was bigger than his beard! He was always smiling and loved to reminisce and tell stories. His voice carried. His laugh did, too. He never met a stranger and his boisterous spirit is unforgettable. He could build and fix anything, and was always happy to help with any project. He and JoAnn spent many hours woodworking and painting holiday decorations; treasures for those fortunate enough to receive one. An old softie, he loved his dogs, Max and Cooper. He was a proud Dad and true friend to Jessica and KariAnn. Their relationship is unmatched and will forever remain so. He was a fun Papa to Miles and Everly.
