John C. Horvath, 94, of Bethlehem Twp., formerly of Radford, VA, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Country Meadows Nursing Home in Bethlehem Twp. Born March 16, 1912 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John and Theresa Domyan Horvath.
He was the loving husband of MarySmellHorvath of Bethlehem Twp. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary December 13th.
John graduated from Penn State University in 1935 with a bachelor's in engineering. He worked as a chemist and industrial engineer for the U.S. Government Department of Defense for 46 years. He retired in 1985. He was a former member of St. Jude's Catholic Church of Radford, VA. He was an avid golfer having two holes in one.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, a brother, Leo J. Horvath of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Emil & Joseph Horvath.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
