John E. Brauchle

John E. Brauchle, 83, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at Whitehall Manor in Lehigh Twp. Born June 6, 1923 in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Erdman and Anna Spisak Brauchle. He was the loving husband of the late Helen Harkovich Brauchle. John worked in the Blast Furnace at Bethlehem Steel for 40 years. He retired in 1985. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. He was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church of Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his three sons, Ronald J. Brauchle and wife Joyce of Bethlehem, Bruce J. Brauchle and wife Gail of Northampton, David G. Brauchle and wife LaDonna of Tulsa, OK sisters, Theresa Blatnik of Bethlehem and Elizabeth Arnold of Toledo, OH and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Erdman "Sonny" Brauchle and Charles Brauchle and a sister Dorothy Brauchle.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church or The American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
