John "Jack" E. Husser, Jr., 74, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 11, 2022, one day shy of his 75th birthday. He was born on July 12, 1947, the son of the late Armendelia "Dena" (Dotter) and John E. Husser, Sr.
Jack proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He graduated from Liberty High School, class of 1965 and earned his bachelor's degree from Memphis State University. He spent most of his working career at the Bethlehem Steel and Lucent Technologies. He was a member of the American Legion and the Washington Republican Association. Jack was an avid Yankees fan and loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Gail Nakata and Michele Husser; brother, Daniel Husser (Carol); nephews, Nathan Husser (Maureen Quinn), Joshua Husser (Crystal) and Ronald Nakata, Jr. (Lina); nieces, Emily Husser and Sheri Pudliner (Bruce); 3 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronald Nakata.
Calling time will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 10-10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dream Come True, PO Box 21167 Lehigh Valley, PA 18002 or Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley 1302 N. Sherman St. Allentown, PA 18109.
