John Ernest Mcgaughey

John Ernest McGaughey, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Cedarbrook-Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Erna (Jansen) McGaughey whom he wed in 1966. John was born in New Brunswick, NJ on February 16, 1941 to the late Ernest Schoppe and Agnes (Myhre) McGaughey. He served our country faithfully in the Navy during Peacetime. John worked for B. Braun Medical, Bethlehem as a Medical Engineer for 25 years until retiring. He was a member of the Hanover Twp. Lions Club and Bethlehem Masonic Lodge.

Survivors: son: Erik J. (Deborah H.) McGaughey of Bethlehem; sister: Katherine (Monroe) Weiant of Trumbull, CT; grandchildren: Zachary, Emily & Charlie.

Service: A gathering period will be held 5-7pm Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc.-245 East Broad Street-Bethlehem. Online condolences may be made at www.connellfuneral.com.
