John F. Casilio

December 14, 1929 — April 3, 2015

John F. Casilio, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 3, 2015. He was born December 14, 1929; son of the late Frank and Maria Casilio. John was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 57 years, Theeta T. “Teddie” Casilio.

John was a graduate of Liberty High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. John was the President of Casilio Concrete. Along with his siblings, John was instrumental in building the family business founded by their father in 1938. Among his greatest pleasures were cruising and dancing with his wife, Teddie. John was an avid gardener and horse racing enthusiast.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Jim; Maria Medei and her husband, Jack; Frank; Cory; and Mario; as well as his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of St. Lukes c/o Development, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Condolences may be offered online at www.connellfuneral.com
