John F. Lehman

August 16, 1917 — May 31, 2013

John F. Lehman, 95, of Bethlehem passed away Friday May 31, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 16, 1917 in Bethlehem, son of the late George and Margaret (Balik) Lehman. He was the husband of the late Anna (Ivankovits) Lehman.

John worked as a millwright at the Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces for 40 years retiring in 1982. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp from 1939-1945 during WWII as a Gunnery Sgt. in the Pacific Theater. He was devoted to his family and will be dearly missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, John F. Lehman Jr., and daughter, Janet R. Lehman both of Bethlehem, and brother William Lehman of Allentown.

John was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Edward, Stephen, and Joseph and sisters Anna Bacak, and Margaret Fischer.

Prayer services will be held 10:30am Tuesday June 4, 2013 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11am at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 8:30-10:30am at the funeral home.
