John F. Svanda

John F. Svanda, 68, of Bethlehem, PA died on Monday, October 16, 2006 at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem.

Born January 29, 1938 he was the son of the late John and Salome Warminsky Svanda.

He was married to his wife Helen Svanda where they just celebrated their ninth year of marriage on October 2, 2006.

John Served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. He retired from the Bethlehem Steel Printing department. He was a member of the Independent Citizens Club. John was an overall handyman and was always willing to help others.

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen Svanda of Bethlehem, sons; John and wife Michelle Svanda of Virginia, Paul and wife Denise Svanda of Bethlehem Township, and Richard Svanda of Bethlehem Township, daughter, Janice wife of Thomas Woolley of Bethlehem Township, step daughter, Kathleen wife of Rodney Navarre of Walnutport, sisters; Sally wife of Lloyd Wimberly of Texas, Rosanne Svanda of Bethlehem Township, and Joan wife of Michael "Skip" Germano of Allentown. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Stephen and Joseph Svanda.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
