John J. Buchvalt

John J. Buchvalt, 85, of Bethlehem Township, died on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Holy Family Manor. Born in Bethlehem on May 25, 1928; he was the son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Hajzer) Buchvalt. He was employed by and retired from Hellertown Manufacturing Company. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and member of: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roosevelt Democratic Association and the Independent Citizens Club, all in Bethlehem Township. He was also a member of the Heights A.A., Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, George; sister, Mary T. Weiss; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Frank and Michael.

Visitation will be held in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, 18020, on Saturday May 10 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. An 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
