John J. Peters, Sr.

John J. Peters, Sr., 83, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at his residence.

He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late George and Anna Peters.

John was preceded in death by his wife Irene P. Novak Peters in 1992; son Jeffrey and daughter Georgene.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, Pacific Theatre.

A 1951 graduate of Lehigh University, he retired from the Bethlehem Steel Co.

John will be lovingly remembered by his family, sons, John, James and Joseph Peters all of Bethlehem and his daughter Victoria Balog of Bethlehem; as well as four grandchildren; brothers George of Allentown and Charles of Bethlehem and a sister Rose Ortwein of Fountain Hill.

SERVICES

A Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Catholic Church Bethlehem on Friday May 26, 2006 at 10 AM.

Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one?s choice in memory of John.
