John J. “Sarge” Federanich, 80, of Danielsville, PA died peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Born January 17, 1935 in Palmerton he was the son of the late Victoria F. (Lendvay) and Metro C. Federanich. He was married to Bernadine J. (Blatnik) Federanich with whom he would have been married 35 years this coming May 4th.
Sarge was a 1952 graduate of Palmerton High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Sarge was a well known and respected bartender throughout the Lehigh Valley. Sarge also worked at Wegmans in Bethlehem. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bath. Sarge loved watching all sports.
Sarge will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bernadine, son, John F. Gittings of Easton, daughters, Charmaine wife of Tim Uhl of Moorestown and Valerie wife of Dan Mindler of Northampton, brothers, James Federanich of Severin, MD and Joseph Federanich of Palmerton, PA, sisters, Barbara Brennan of Carmichael, CA and Marianne Smelas of Palmerton, PA. He will also be missed by his four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Federanich
