John "Jack" C. Trumbore

September 16, 1941 — May 20, 2016

John “Jack” C. Trumbore, 74 of Bethlehem passed away peacefully May 20, 2016 at Holy Family Manor. Jack was born on Sept. 16, 1941 to the late Henry and Catherine (Courtney) Trumbore. He was the husband to Ellie (Hoffer) Trumbore and they were married 49 years this past April 15th. He attended Malvern Prep School, graduating in 1959, attended John Carrol University in Cleveland, OH and then transferred to St. Michaels College in Santa Fe, NM graduating in 1965. He began his career at Bethlehem Steel spending his entire career in the purchasing dept. In 1982 he was transferred to the Steelton Plant as purchasing manager and then returned to Bethlehem in 1986. He was the purchasing manager at Beth Forge and Centec and retired in 1997. Jack then became purchasing manager for Lehigh Heavy Forge and retired in 2015 due to illness.

He is survived by his wife Ellie, sons, Kevin and wife Sue of Slatington, Mark and wife Amy of Macungie, He was Pop Pop to the loves of his life, grandchildren, Courtney Kate, Megan Elizabeth, and Christopher John, brother, James and wife Ann of Long Beach, CA, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Herbert.

A Funeral Service will be held 10am Tuesday May 24, 2016 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. A viewing will be held from 6-8pm Monday May 23, 2016 and Tuesday 9am-10am at the Connell Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy Family Manor 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 or the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem, Pa. 18017, or to a charity of ones choice.
