John Jack F. O'Donnell

John F. Jack O'Donnell, 84, of Bethlehem, formerly of Hellertown, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. He was born June 16, 1923 in Kelayres, PA, the son of the late Urban and Marcella McFadden O'Donnell. He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy M. Martin O'Donnell. They celebrated 45 years together before her death in 2002.

John graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1941. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 42 years as a payroll clerk before retiring in 1983.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. John was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church of Hellertown.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Mary Ellen O'Donnell of Metheun, MA; Jeanne M. O'Donnell of Allentown; Eileen O., wife of Erik Chuss of Fork Twp.;

brothers, Fr. William J. O'Donnell and Thomas O'Donnell both of Bethlehem, Francis O'Donnell of Alburtis; sisters, Marcella Sharkan, Sister St. Urban, SSJ, Kathleen O'Donnell and Theresa Donchez all of Bethlehem; and his four grandchildren, Emily Burke, John Meighan, Erin & Jacqueline Chuss. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Urban, Joseph, James, Anthony & Michael O'Donnell and sisters, Mary, Lucy & Patricia O'Donnell

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Monday, March 31, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church 1408 Easton Rd. Hellertown.

Visitation will be Sunday, from 7-9 p.m. & Monday, from 8:30-9:15 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
