John "Jack" J. Lavelle, Jr.

John “Jack” J. Lavelle, Jr., 74, of Bath, died Thursday, May 27, 2016. He was born in Scranton, PA, the son of Arlene (Smith) and John Lavelle, Sr. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Vreeland) Lavelle.

Jack proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy, he worked at the Lehigh County Prison as a Records Supervisor. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Bath. Jack was a life member of The West Easton Fire Co. social club.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth; children, Brian Lavelle, Jodi Bloom, Wendy Cole and Craig Kincaid; brothers, Paul Lavelle, Jerry Lavelle and Gary Lavelle; 7 grandchildren and his faithful companion, Katie. Jack was preceded in death by his brother Donald Lavelle.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 210 E. Northampton St. Bath, PA 18014. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the church.
