John "Jack" Roger Karp

June 9, 1949 — March 16, 2015

John “Jack” Roger Karp, 65, of Lower Nazareth passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 in his home with his family by his side. Born June 9, 1949 in Bethlehem he was the son of Helen (Raczkowski) Karp and the late John Karp. Jack was the loving husband of Eloise (Butko) Karp with whom he would have been married 43 years this coming June.

Jack worked for 37 years at Mack Trucks as a Procurement Planner. He was a graduate of DeSalles University with a degree in economics. Jack was the leader of the Harmony Knights Polka Band. He was very active at Town and Country Bowling Lanes in Bethlehem where he was a Jr. Bowling Coach for 30 years, President of the Bethlehem Area Jr. Bowling Association and a member of the Bethlehem Bowling Hall of Fame. He also volunteered his time as a coach for Lower Nazareth Little League. Jack was often known as Mr. Fix It. He liked bowling, fishing, golfing and Iron Pigs Baseball.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eloise, mother, Helen Karp, sons, Kevin Karp and wife Michele and Brian Karp and wife Kate and two grandchildren, Megan and Derek.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 pm and again on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 10-11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jacks name to the Jack and Eloise Karp Memorial Scholarship. Contributions can be made in person at any National Penn Bank or care of Connell Funeral Home.
